Universal Developing Film Based on Secret Service Agent Training

Secret Service Training

It’s good to be the part of Washington Post Magazine. Why? Well, because you get the chance to write some interesting articles, and, if you’re lucky enough – you even get the chance for your story to be adapted into a movie. So, here’s the thing.

According to the latest reports, Universal studio has optioned a cover story in the Washington Post Magazine written by Laura Blumenfeld, which actually means we’ll soon have a chance to watch a movie based on the recruitment and training of Secret Service agents.

So, at this moment, thanks to Deadline, we know that the upcoming project will follow a group of aspiring applicants through the training program, after which one of them will probably turn out to be a mole, because that’s what always happens.

Blumenefeld went through Secret Service training and spent time in the 16-week intensive training program that includes weapons training, hand-to-hand combat and psychological methods.

Universal studio has tapped Gregory Poirier, man behind National Treasure: Book of Secrets story to write the screenplay, and of course, if you’re interested in Blumenefeld original article, you can check it out right here

We’ll keep an eye on this project, so make sure you stay tuned!
