Here’s a teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of the popular Mortal Kombat: Legacy live action web series that premiered at the 3rd Annual Streamy Awards.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy creator, Kevin Tancharoen was already assigned to get to work on the new big screen Mortal Kombat adaptation. However, he’ll once again direct the next round of shorts, from the script co-penned along with writers Josh Baizer and Marshall Johnson.
The series will span ten episodes and introduce some more fan-favorites such as the blind swordsman Kenshi (Dan Southworth) and Kung Lao (Mark Dacascos from Cradle 2 the Grave) with Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) as the warlord adviser Kuai Liang, Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) as martial arts troubled film actor Johnny Cage, Brian Tee (The Wolverine) as Shaolin monk and friend of Kung Lao; Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-O) also returns as General of the Japanese Shirai Ryu clan of ninjas and Cary Tagawa reprises the role he made famous in the Mortal Kombat theatrical release as the powerful, arrogant sorcerer Shang Tsung, leading his warriors against Earthrealm.
Season 2 will debut worldwide in Q2 2013 exclusively on Machinima.

In the second season the saga continues as Liu Kang and Ermac join the ranks of fighters introduced in the first season of the web series including Kenshi, Kung Lao, Kuai Lang, Stryker, Kitana, Mileena, Johnny Cage, Scorpion and Sub Zero. This new season will uncover the rivalries and histories of these fierce warriors as Raiden and his recruits clash against the dark forces of Outworld. The epic battle for Earthrealm has finally begun!
