3 Key Visual FX Sequences from MEN IN BLACK 3

Men_in_Black_3 Despite Men in Black 3 had the endlessly  troubled production cycle with filming shut down for several months and with rotating cast of screenwriters who tried to fix a screenplay that was never quite finished, for the most part, the third MiB movie does not show any signs of being a runaway production. The Will Smith-led threequel opened with $17.5 million on Friday night, so we offer you via ComingSoon.net three cool making-of featurettes from Barry Sonnenfeld‘s latest installment of the wildly popular franchise, showing how they did three of the key FX sequences from the sci-fi actioner. First, we have a sequence in which Agent J (Will Smith) takes on a giant fish-like alien along with his partner K (Tommy Lee Jones), with commentary by Animation Supervisor Spencer Cook: Second, we have a sequence showing how they put together J’s time-jump device that takes him back to the year 1969 in search of K, narrated by Visual FX Supervisors Ken Ralston and Jay Redd: Lastly, we have a sequence on how they hop onto a pair of newfangled high-tech monocycles to chase some alien perps, again with Jay Redd: The first in the franchise released in IMAX is now playing in theaters.
