Ok, now I’m officially excited about 47 Ronin. I had the same feeling yesterday, (when we shared those great character posters), but now, when we finally have the very first trailer for the movie – the only thing I can say is – wow! This Christmas, there is a legend of 47 warriors who seized eternity, and you just HAVE to check it out!
Directed by Carl Rinsch, and starring Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Ko Shibasaki, Tadanobu Asano and Rinko Kikuchi, this great-looking 3D fantasy adventure is set to hit theaters on December 25th, 2013.
As we previously reported, the movie revolves around a band of samurai who set out to avenge the death of their master. In other words, Reeves plays the outcast named Kai who joins a group, led by Kuranosuke Oishi, and together they seek vengeance on Lord Kira, who killed their master and banished the group.

After a treacherous warlord kills their master and banishes their kind, 47 leaderless samurai vow to seek vengeance and restore honor to their people. Driven from their homes and dispersed across the land, this band of Ronin must seek the help of Kai, a half-breed they once rejected, as they fight their way across a savage world of mythic beasts, shape-shifting witchcraft and wondrous terrors. As this exiled, enslaved outcast becomes their most deadly weapon, he will transform into the hero who inspires this band of outnumbered rebels to seize eternity.
