I must admit that I'm not usually a fan of movies that come on the Lifetime channel, but this time my head is hanging down as
Lindsay Lohan is dripping in diamonds as
Elizabeth Taylor in the first
Liz & Dick trailer.
Lifetime has also revealed the official poster design that features Lohan in a typical Taylor-like pose on equal footing with bold phrases typical for the Hollywood legend's life.
Directed by
Lloyd Kramer the movie tracks the fiery romance often called ‘the marriage of the century' between Taylor (Lohan) and
Richard Burton (
Grant Bowler), following their ups and downs played out entirely in front of the global press from the time they met on the set of the major motion picture Cleopatra, left their respective spouses, married and divorced, only to remarry and divorce once again.
This brief ad, however, could be here to remind us that Lohan is in it, and that she's actually not bad (on the same day LiLo was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident in New York after allegedly swiping a man with her car).
Liz & Dick airs nationwide on November 3rd, 2012.
