Paramount Acquired Clark Baker’s Sci-Fi/Horror Short VESSEL

Nick Martin October 5, 2012 Add a Comment
Vessel Clark Baker’s short film Vessel, is a polished strong genre film that could easily be the opening sequence of a feature film. The short was funded on KickStarter back in May and  has now led to a feature film at Paramount. It did not take a long time. Therefore, Paramount Pictures has acquired the rights with Baker directing and genre scribe Stephen Susco (The Grudge) to write and produce the feature version. The original was written by the helmer’s fellow Chapman University grads Matt and Ross Duffer. Likened to Alien, The Thing and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Vessel tells the story ‘of a group of airplane passengers who encounter an otherwordly force shortly after takeoff and are thrown into a fight for their lives.’ Baker’s stellar short floating around the web, so we have it for you, too.
