See a new movie poster for the upcoming British low-budget “semicomedy” A Fantastic Fear of Everything.
Actor and comedian Simon Pegg stars as an author of children's books that decides to branch out and write an adult crime novel. When he begins to research Victorian Era serial killers, the writer becomes increasingly paranoid, and is convinced he will be murdered.
Here's the synopsis for the film:
Jack is a children's author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his big break rapidly turns into his big breakdown, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.
The film is directed by Crispian Mills with Chris Hopewell as co-director.
A Fantastic Fear of Everything, which also stars Paul Freeman and Kerry Shale, Clare Higgins, Amara Karan, Sheridan Smith, Jay Taylor, Mo Idriss, Tuyet Le, is due for UK release on June 8th, 2012 and a US release date is still to be decided.
