The film's narrative is set before the events of the original “A Quiet Place,” which introduced audiences to the Abbott family's desperate struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic world where creatures that hunt by sound have taken over. “A Quiet Place: Day One” aims to explore the early days of this catastrophic event, shedding light on the events that led to the downfall of society.

The trailer showcases Nyong'o's character, a determined and resourceful individual who must navigate the treacherous landscape to protect herself and her loved ones. The visuals are haunting, with Nyong'o's character facing off against the deadly creatures in a series of intense and suspenseful scenes. The trailer's ominous score adds to the tension, hinting at the horrors that lie ahead.

The main actors in “A Quiet Place: Day One” also include Joseph Quinn as Eric, Alex Wolff in an undisclosed role, and Denis O'Hare in an undisclosed role as well. Djimon Hounsou and Malik Jubal are also part of the cast, with Hounsou playing the character Henri and Jubal voicing the Truck Driver.

The “A Quiet Place” franchise has consistently pushed the boundaries of the horror genre, offering a unique blend of suspense, drama, and terror. With “A Quiet Place: Day One,” the filmmakers are poised to deliver another gripping installment that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

The release date for “A Quiet Place: Day One” is June 28, 2024.
