Adam Brody, whose latest film The Oranges, opening October 5th has joined the cast of Fox Searchlight's romantic comedy
Baggage Claim – Grammy-nominated R&B artist
Trey Songz and Private Practice star
Taye Diggs are also set for feature adaptation of a novel written by
David E. Talbert.
Talbert also wrote the screenplay and is directing and producing the adaptation of his own bestselling 2003 novel.
Paula Patton is starring as the flight attendant, named Montana Moore, with
Derek Luke, Djimon Hounsou, Octavia Spencer, Lauren London and
Jill Scott also on board.
Frustrated with being single, Moore embarks on a 30-day, 30,000-mile barnstorm across America to find an appropriate boyfriend as her younger sister's wedding approaches. Along the way she meets several interested prospects, including a preacher, a politician and a tycoon.
Derek Luke co-stars as her long-time friend and potential suitor.
Brody will play the part of the other male lead, a flamboyant flight attendant who works alongside Patton and Spencer's characters. He devises a plan to help Moore get engaged before Christmas and works with a team of airport personnel to make sure she crosses paths with several ex-boyfriends who are traveling during the course of the story.
As for Songz, he'll play a man with plenty of arrogance who is living the life of a big-time record producer, while Diggs is playing a politically-oriented man with eyes on Congress who wants a wife on a short leash.
Shooting starts this month in Los Angeles.
