Imagine Al Pacino in the upcoming Dan Fogelman‘s project? It's not so hard, right?
Well, guess what, it looks that Pacino is now in some serious negotiations to star in Fogelman's directorial debut titled Imagine. It definitely sounds great. I mean, legendary Pacino on a big screen again? We like the idea!
He was last seen on the big screen opposite Robert De Niro in Righteous Kill, and that was back in 2008.
At this moment we know that Fogelman is responsible for the story that will center on a rocker who decides to change his life after discovering a letter written to him by John Lennon – prompting him to track down his biological son, whom he's never met.
So, if negotiations work out fine, we'll have a chance to watch Pacino as that “aging rocker” but unfortunately, previously attached Steve Carrell is no longer set to star as the rocker's son.
He dropped out recently due to scheduling conflicts but remains a producer via his Warner-based Carousel Prods. banner with Denise Di Novi.
It would be interesting to see who will replace Carrell, so we'll definitely keep an eye on this project.
We have no doubts that Imagine will be great project, after all – it comes from the screenwriter behind Tangled as well as the upcoming Crazy Stupid Love and My Mother's Curse.
And with Pacino on board, what could possibly go wrong?
