Watch: First Teaser Trailer For ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA
We've got the first trailer for a feature adaptation of the popular BBC TV series and radio character Alan Partridge today, which is a funny bit focusing on the title.
Steve Coogan, also known from his work in Tropic Thunder and The Other Guys, would reprise his infamous television role as fictional lovable radio DJ in upcoming comedy Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.
This teaser trailer is funny enough in itself as Partridge is seen in a radio station discussing with filmmakers what they intend to call the feature.
Directed by television helmer Declan Lowney (Little Britain, Father Ted) from a script written by Coogan himself, Peter Baynham, Armando Iannucci (In the Loop), Neil and Rob Gibbons, the story involving Partridge being an unwilling participant at a large event in a small town somewhere.
Alpha Papa which also stars Nigel Lindsay is slated to arrive in UK theaters on August 7th, 2013, but it's unclear when the movie might be coming to theaters in the United States.
