Amy Adams to Join Clint Eastwood in TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE
The primary love interest of Superman, Lois Lane, might be venturing into the world of baseball alongside Clint Eastwood for the Warner Bros. drama the Trouble With the Curve. After Sandra Bullock was unable to take the role, I hope Amy Adams will be able to take the role of Eastwood's estranged daughter.
If her busy schedule will work with the planned shoot better than Bullock's, Adams will join vet Eastwood who is playing an aging baseball scout, losing his sight and decides to take a road trip to Atlanta with his daughter to check out a hotshot prospect.
It will mark his first film as an actor since 2008s Gran Torino while his next directorial project, a remake of A Star is Born, is on hold for Beyonce's pregnancy. His longtime Malpaso producing partner, Robert Lorenz is set to make his directorial debut with the Curve project, penned by relative newcomer Randy Brown.
No production schedule has yet been released for this WB drama. Trouble With the Curve should be getting released sometime in 2013.
The Fighter's Adams will next be seen in Disney's The Muppets where she will be returning to singing and she'll also be seen in such upcoming films as On the Road for Walter Salles, The Master for Paul Thomas Anderson, Daughter of the Queen of Sheba, which she will also be producing and, of course, as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Superman feature Man of Steel.
If Adams also fall away due to busy schedule might Reese Witherspoon will be considered as second replacement. Who knows?
Check her out in The Muppets that hits theaters this Thanksgiving.
