Anya Taylor-Joy, best known for her breakout role in The Queen's Gambit and her upcoming portrayal in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, has quickly become one of Hollywood's most intriguing talents. With her love for Disney and a penchant for challenging roles, it's no surprise that she's dreaming of a part that could both test her skills and delight fans of all ages.

In a recent interview with Vogue, Taylor-Joy revealed her desire to star in a Disney musical. The actress explained, “I would love to do a musical because I'm a bit addicted to hard work. I like having an impossible mountain to climb. The idea of having to be able to sing, dance, and act at the same time would just really thrill me.” This confession alone is enough to get Disney enthusiasts buzzing, but it's her specific dream role that's truly captivating.

Taylor-Joy mentioned that she would love to play Elsa in a live-action adaptation of Frozen. She expressed her excitement at the idea of “shooting ice out of her hand” and shared an adorable personal reason: “You'd just be the favorite at every kid's birthday party. All of my siblings have children now, so I would love for them to be able to say ‘my auntie is Elsa.' That would be pretty sick.”

This isn't just wishful thinking. Taylor-Joy's combination of acting chops, musical background, and undeniable star power make her a strong candidate for such an iconic role. Disney has been on a roll with live-action remakes, from Beauty and the Beast to The Lion King, and Frozen seems like a natural next step. Given that the original Frozen (2013) earned over $1.28 billion worldwide, a live-action version with Taylor-Joy as the lead could be a massive hit.

Moreover, Taylor-Joy's commitment to her craft is well-documented. She's taken on a wide variety of roles, each more demanding than the last, proving she has the range to tackle the complexities of Elsa, a character beloved by millions. With a potential cast and crew as strong as Disney's usual lineup, this project could blend the magic of the original with the fresh energy that Taylor-Joy brings to every performance.

While there's no official word yet on whether Disney will pursue this project, Taylor-Joy's enthusiasm and the sheer potential of this casting choice make it a thrilling possibility. If the stars align, we could see Anya Taylor-Joy bring Elsa to life in a way that's both faithful to the original and entirely her own.

Disney, are you listening? Fans and critics alike would surely welcome this icy queen with open arms.
