Batman Vs. Superman might include Batman’s estranged partner Dick Grayson aka Nightwing (formerly Robin) and Adam Driver is the frontrunner for the role
After learning that Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel Batman Vs. Superman might include Batman’s estranged partner Dick Grayson aka Nightwing (formerly Robin), one of the frontrunners for the role emerged in the form of ‘Girls‘ star Adam Driver.
‘Gossip Girl’ alum Penn Badgley and Ezra Miller (We Need To Talk About Kevin) are also into the mix.
Warner Bros. Pictures is reportedly looking for a ‘young John Hawkes type’ of actor for this coveted role. In the highly-anticipated sequel, Batman and Grayson haven’t spoken in years after some sort of falling out between the superhero and his former sidekick.
At 21, Miller is much younger than the 27-year-old Bagley and the 29-year-old Driver and seems a bit young to be a rheumy-eyed, jaded superhero.
And that’s all about a potential Nightwing.
In a similar bit of curious casting, Olga Kurylenko (Oblivion), Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) and Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) are vying for the female lead of Batman vs. Superman that many believe to be Wonder Woman, but there’s also the chance that it’s merely for Bruce Wayne’s love interest.
Finally, Warner Bros. released a clip with the highlights from a Q&A for the upcoming Man of Steel Blu-ray.

Batman Vs. Superman opens July 17th, 2015 and stars Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne.
