Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake as Online Gamblers in RUNNER, RUNNER
The pop sensation-turned-actor Justin Timberlake has closed a role in the forthcoming Brad Furman-directed dramatic thriller Runner, Runner.
Ben Affleck is finalizing his negotiation to join the online gambling movie that begins filming this June.
The Lincoln Lawyer helmer Furman will direct Runner, Runner from the screenplay written by Rounders scribes Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who also wrote Walking Tall, Ocean's Thirteen and Solitary Man, and are no strangers to playing the odds.
Appian Way originally developed the project at Paramount, recently sold to New Regency and set in a $30 billion world of illegal offshore online gambling and an increasingly tense relationship between a business founder and his protégé.
In addition to Clint Eastwood's Trouble with the Curve, Timberlake will next appear in Coen brothers' folk music film Inside Llewyn Davis, while Affleck is finishing his latest directorial debut Argo, which will hit the U.S. theaters on October 12th 2012.
