Beverly Hills Cop TV series writer/exec producer Shawn Ryan (The Shield) has given us the first look at the return of Eddie Murphy's Axel Foley alongside his son, played by Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder) on the set of this CBS pilot.
The CBS show will serve as a continuation of the three films that ran from 1984 to 1994.
Murphy and Judge Reinhold (Billy Rosewood) are reprising their roles alongside Jackson as the new lead, Aaron Foley who is trying to get out from under his shadow as he takes on the criminal element of Beverly Hills .
Kevin Pollak is also signed-up as in-house lawyer for the BHPD and David Denman (The Office) will play another cop on the force. Chicago Hope alum Christine Lahti will reportedly play a police captain.
The pilot, now in production in Los Angeles, is being directed by Men in Black helmer Barry Sonnenfeld.
Beverly Hills Cop has no release date yet, but we could be seeing it on CBS this autumn.
You can compare Jackson and Murphy and see Axel's iconic Detroit Lions jacket below.
The role of Foley is no doubt Eddie Murphy's most iconic, which made him both famous and rich.
