Director Marc Webb recently posted on Twitter a photo of The Office actor B.J. Novak on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set along with the text, ‘Day 38. A supposed rumor about a Dunder-Mifflin takeover of Oscorp?'
Judging from the first image Novak will be playing a shady Oscorp employee that works for Norman Osborn.
We've already learned that Academy Award-winning actor Chris Cooper is set to star as Norman Osborn.
The sequel also stars Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Shailene Woodley (Mary Jane Watson), Jamie Foxx (Max Dillon/Electro), Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborne), Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti (Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino), Felicity Jones and Sally Field (May Parker).
Webb also revealed recently that this Oscorp security person seen below is played by Cal McCrystal.
Scripted by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is currently in production.
The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story hits theaters May 2nd, 2014.
