Brazilian STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS Press Screening Reveals Spoilers

Nick Martin March 8, 2013 Add a Comment
StarTrekIntoDarkness - PeterWeller Brazilian website Juado (via TrekMovie) is reporting on many of the details of the beginning of the film just screened for the press. Therefore, the rest of this article contains spoilers for the Star Trek sequel about what happens to Captain Kirk and crew in the new movie. 38 minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness – mostly from the beginning, but some stuff later on also – reveals Peter Weller‘s character as Admiral Marcus, who one could assume is the father of Alice Eve‘s Carol Marcus. In fact, an ‘Alex Marcus' was mentioned in the comic book prequel ‘Countdown to Darkness' and could possibly be the same character. That means Weller's character was a former first officer on a different USS Enterprise under Captain Robert April. The other major plot detail revealed is that Admiral Pike (Bruce Greenwood) returning as Captain of the Enterprise with Kirk (Chris Pine) being demoted for violating the Prime Directive serving as first officer and Zachary Quinto‘s Spoke being transferred to another vessel. There are reportedly scenes with Kirk with two ‘cat women, plus Spock ordering the evacuation of the Enterprise as it is falling into Earth, plus the desperate father (Noel Clarke) using his Starfleet ring to activate a bomb in London, plus Benedict Cumberbatch‘s character John Harrison attacking a meeting of Starfleet captains, plus Harrison and Spock engages in a fight. Are you able to connect the pieces? Never mind, Star Trek Into Darkness hits regular theaters May 17th, 2013, and also stars John Cho, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban and Anton Yelchin.
