Cannes 2013: Roman Polanski’s VENUS IN FUR First Look

Fiona May 1, 2013 Add a Comment
Venus in Fur I'm sure you already know that Roman Polanski‘s latest movie titled Venus in Fur is one of the films that will compete at this year's 66th Cannes Film Festival. The great thing is that we finally have the first image from the movie which stars Mathieu Amalric and Emmanuelle Seigner in the leading roles, so make sure you check it out in the rest of this report… We will once again remind you that the movie is actually an adaptation of David Ives' award-winning play of the same name which revolves around an aspiring actress's audition for a writer/director's new play. She attempts to convince a director how she's perfect woman for a role in his upcoming production and their encounter is fueled by sex, passion, mystery and an ever-shifting balance of power. This image shows a little bit of that passion, don't you think? We definitely expect to see more from Venus in Fur, so make sure you stay tuned for more Cannes – updates. Don't forget – the festival begins on May 15 and runs through May 26.
