If you aren’t tuning in to the Super Bowl on Sunday, Marvel has been the king of reveals this week and released another poster for Captain America: The Winter Soldier along with a teaser for their Super Bowl commercial.
The Captain America’s sequel serves as the bridge film between The Avengers and next summer’s Age of Ultron as well as it represents the first release by Marvel to test out a spring release date.
Based on the ever-popular comic book series, first published in 1941, the flick will pick-up where The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
Anthony and Joe Russo‘ Winter Soldier hits theaters on April 4th, 2014 in the US and stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Scarlett Johansson, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Hayley Atwell, Maximiliano Hernandez, Robert Redford and Georges St-Pierre.
