Martin Ansin is a Monteviedo, Uruguay based illustrator who has been grinding out some amazing work for both commercial clients and the Austin-based collectible arts boutique Mondo of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema fame.
Ansin and Mondo's latest collaboration today, it's for none other than
Rian Johnson's time-travel noir thriller
Looper.
As you remember Looper centers on Joe (
Joseph Gordon-Levitt), a hitman employed by the mob who gets paid to kill people sent back in time by his bosses; things are going great, until he's faced with killing his older self (
Bruce Willis).
If you love Ansin's use of brush-like textures and the way that he's created two realities literally colliding with one another as they loop around, two amazing limited edition prints are only going to be available for sale at a special screening of the film in Austin, Texas at
Fantastic Fest on Friday, September 21st, 2012.
The Fantastic Fest will be held from Sept. 20-27, while the movie is set to be released on September 28th, 2012.
Check out the special edition posters below – one in gold, one in silver (you will understand the significance when you see this film).
