Oscar-tipped
12 Years a Slave star
Chiwetel Ejiofor is the latest name rumored eying a part in
JJ Abrams‘ forthcoming
Star Wars movie.
The British actor was recently spotted at Abrams' office, which is now enough to start speculation about Star Wars: Episode VII casting news. It comes hot on heels of the
added pressure from Disney to get the film out in 2015. Producer
Kathleen Kennedy reportedly wanted to push back the release of the first installment of the rebooted trilogy to 2016, but Disney turned it down.
The Times Magazine suggests that Ejiofor , who has been seen at the ‘Bad Robot' offices meeting with Abrams on multiple occasions, might be in line for a major blockbuster movie role, while other sources are suggesting that he has indeed been cast in the movie.Needless to say, one can hardly imagine another ‘Bad Robot' project he might be there to discuss.
Check out the footage from the red carpet interview. To me his facial expression says it all:

We await confirmation from Disney as to this casting leak. Previous rumored cast include
Benedict Cumberbatch, Harrison Ford, Michael B. Jordan and
Saoirse Ronan linked to the film too.
For now, Abrams and
Lawrence Kasdan are busy working on the current screenplay, after Oscar winner
Michael Arndt left the project at the end of October.
