Best known for his portrayal of Captain Kirk in the Star Trek film,
Chris Pine has co-written a comedy,
Mantivities alongside his friends Robert Baker, Ian Gotler, Will Greenberg, Drew Howerton and Tony Liebetrau.
Pine said:
I couldn't be happier to begin the adventure of making Mantivities knowing how much fun we all had writing it. Somehow I get to laugh with my friends and call it work.”
Pine is also set to star in the film that centers on a batch of thirty-something buddies who are all staunchly refusing to grow up. Together they decide to help one of their number mature in certain ways — presumably through partaking in ‘mantivities.'
Pine, who will be seen on the big screen next month in People Like Us is also set to produce and star in a comedy.
Director Michael Patrick Jann (Drop Dead Gorgeous) is currently attached to helm for Waterstone Entertainment.
Star Trek 2 will bring back Chris Pine as Capt. Kirk in 3D on May 17th, 2013.
