To date, we know that Johnny Depp will be reprising his role of Captain Jack Sparrow, again, in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. A film which will be directed by Kon-Tiki‘s Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg having a script by Terry Rossio and Jeff Nathanson . The goal of Disney is to begin production in 2015, in time for releasing Pirates 5 in 2016. As from here, any information about the project should take as a rumor.
Christoph Waltz has shown some interest in playing the villain, Captain Brand, in the next Pirates. Waltz's rumored circling a role of Captain Brand a ghost who is reportedly seeking the same Trident that Jack Sparrow wants, in order to get his revenge on Jack for his brother's death.
The next thing is Keith Richards' return to the franchise. The Rolling Stones' rocker is expected to play Captain Jack's father to help reek some mayhem.
Besides, both magic and witches play a very important role in this story; will there be new female protagonist, Jack Sparrow mate? She is accused of witchcraft, but in reality she is a woman of science; in the heart of the story there will be a ghost, a former member of the British army who has now allied with Captain Barbossa ; two young Brits from farming families will be in supporting roles as a replacement for Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley in the original trilogy ; and finally, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales begins with a “a rather awkward wedding” and concludes with “a riff on the myth of the Bermuda Triangle.”
