Christopher Nolan’s INTERSTELLAR Trailer Debuts!
Paramount Pictures has revealed the first trailer for The Dark Knight Trilogy director Christopher Nolan‘s original sci-fi epic Interstellar, after premiering in theaters in front of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug this weekend.
Nolan’s first post-Batman movie features a massive ensemble cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Bill Irwin, Casey Affleck, Ellen Burstyn, Mackenzie Foy, Timothée Chalamet, John Lithgow, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, David Oyelowo, David Gyasi and Matt Damon.
McConaughey’s voiceover reminds how obsessed the world used to be with space exploration, while this first preview shows off the crop. Then we get the faintest hint of our scientists embarking on a journey with footage that looks old, and some of it likely is, but there seems to be at least two shots that have an old look, but feature McConaughey. One journey will take them through a newly discovered wormhole into other dimensions in search of somewhere other crops can be grown.
The script is by Christopher and Jonathan Nolan, based on scientific theories developed by Caltech gravitational physicist and astrophysicist Kip Thorne.
Interstellar, still in-production, opens in theaters on November 7th, 2014.
