They say Chronicle is one of the best super-power movies this year. I'm not so sure, but I know that most of you guys love it, so you're going to love this update as well.
Of course, we're here to start the
sequel chat, or should we better write – the
follow up chat? Whatever.
Chronicle 2 is coming and we have some new details about the whole thing, so make sure you check it out!
At this moment, the most important thing is that screenwriter
Max Landis is currently writing the follow-up.
On the other hand, there are already rumors that director
Josh Trank will not come back for the sequel.
As for the possible cast, you should expect to see more from Matt, or if you prefer –
Alex Russell. Only, this time, according to Landis, he will go through hell in Chronicle 2.
Wondering why? Well, here's the answer:
“I loved Matt and I felt really bad for him because I understood just how emotionally lazy he is and how he doesn't really do what he's doing.”
In an interview, Landis also revealed that the sequel will be about the world's first supervillain:
“That edited footage in the first movie is a thing. You can't deny cars being thrown in the air in Seattle. You saw all those helicopters. The world changed. That's the end of ‘Chronicle.' And things are going to be different now. They can't possibly cover up what happened.”
I bet somebody finds the footage, locates the ctrystal, and uses the power for evil and Matt has to stop him/her. Just a thought….
