Clive Owen Attached to Actioner RECALL; A WHITE TRASH CHRISTMAS Adds McLendon-Covey

Never Say Anything! (NSA) English thesp Clive Owen has no intention of giving up power, showing his true regards for the action genre. More sophisticated than in Killer Elite new actioner Recall involves Owen in cryptanalytic research for ‘No Such Agency’. As an NSA/CSS agent he attempts to figure out what happened during a botched hostage rescue operation. While he tries to piece together the events of what’s just happened, he finds that nothing is quite what it seems and he discovers there is no one around him he can trust, least of all his memory. The 83-year-old veteran Harold Becker is on board to direct Recall written by Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver). Mercury Rising helmer last brought to the world an un-aired episode Watchbird in the Masters of Science Fiction series. Production is slated for a mid-March 2012 start date with no official release date currently. Owen will next be seen starring in the Juan Carlos Fresnadillo-directed horror thriller Intruders and then in spy drama Shadow Dancer and financial drama Cities with Anil Kapoor.   On the other side Wendi McLendon-Covey is set to star in the indie movie A White Trash Christmas, set in the vein of A Christmas Carol. The flick is about whiskey-soaked, trashy mother who is visited by three ghosts who try to show her a path to a brighter future. This character sounds like a reprise of her Bridesmaids part. Watch Rita (Wendi McLendon) tells Lillian (Maya Rudolph) and Annie (Kristen Wiig) about the joys of motherhood or about the disgusting truth about having kids or whatever.
