A few days ago we shared a poster for Compliance movie, which is set to open this summer. Today, we’re here to share a new trailer for the whole thing, or if you prefer – a short 2-minute preview of Craig Zobel‘s movie based on a true and a little bit creepy story.
But, I guess we all expect to see that from a psychological thriller, so check it out…
As you’ll see, being a teenager who desperately needs the job is usually a very stressful thing. Young Becky is no exception. Her middle-aged manager Sandra is definitely not her best friend, and when a police officer calls, accusing Becky of stealing money from a customer’s purse, Sandra complies with the officer’s orders to detain her. Becky’s nightmare will tragically blur the lines between expedience and prudence, legality and reason.
Quite difficult situation, indeed. Especially when we all know that Compliance deals with the complex psychology of the real-life story. That’s exactly why this movie is (kind of) proof that sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction.
Compliance stars Ann Dowd, Dreama Walker, Pat Healy and Bill Camp, and is set to hit the theaters on August 17th, 2012.
