Warner Bros. has released nine character posters for
Tim Burton's latest film
Dark Shadows starring
Johnny Depp,
Michelle Pfeiffer,
Eva Green, Chloe Grace Moretz, Gulliver McGrath,
Helena Bonham Carter,
Jackie Earle Haley,
Bella Heathcote and
Jonny Lee Miller.
The movie is based on the 1966-71 soap opera of the same name. The show had a huge cult following, but it was not made to be a comedy, so fans of the original may be a bit thrown off.
Depp plays Barnabas Collins who is turned into a vampire by a witch, played by Eva Green, in the 18th century. He is buried for years and is awakened in 1972. His '70s relatives, (Pfeiffer, Moretz, Jonny Lee Miller, and Helena Bonham Carter as the family's psychiatrist) greet him as he suffers from culture shock – comedy ensues.
Dark Shadows opens May 11th, 2012.
