David Strathairn is in some serious talks to join an upcoming Godzilla movie. Not much is known about his character, except that, if negotiations with The Bourne Ultimatum star work out, he would come on board to play a military figure. Still, one thing is for sure – Strathairn and the rest of the (potential) cast of Gareth Edwards‘ reboot definitely sound promising.
As we previously reported, Aaron Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen and Juliette Binoche are also attached to star in Legendary’s Godzilla reboot which is already set to hit theaters on May 16th, 2014.
Unfortunately, still nothing about the movie plot, although we do know that Legendary Pictures and director Gareth Edwards intend to approach the film and its characters in the most authentic manner possible.
Based on the classic monster from Toho Co., Ltd, Godzilla is one of the most widely recognized movie monsters worldwide, having been featured in more than 25 films, multiple television programs, video games and book series.
