In Deadpool, based on a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Ryan Reynolds plays Wade Wilson, an ex-special forces soldier who recieves the devastating news that cancer is eating away at his entire body. As a means of trying to stay alive and with the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Wilson accepts a deal from a shadowy organization and is given the opportunity to undergo an experimental program that will give him powers. Extreme powers. Unfortunately, Wade is ultimately made the subject of many painful and horrific scientific procedures – and the outcome is that he becomes a scar tissue-covered, super healing, completely crazy mercenary named Deadpool.
Deadpool also stars T.J. Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Ed Skrein as Ajax and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead
Deadpool is out February 12, 2016 followed by X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27th, 2016; Gambit sometime in 2017; Wolverine 3 on March 3rd, 2017; and an untitled X-Men film on July 13th, 2018.
