Don Cheadle Will Return For THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON
A few more buzz continue to leak regarding characters that will be appearing in Marvel's Phase Two the Avengers sequel Age of Ultron.
Don Cheadle‘s Col. James ‘Rhodey' Rhodes time may be coming in 2015 since the guys over at Bleeding Cool reported a rumor that Rhodey will play a part in the next Avengers movie, and the folks over at HitFix confirmed that Col. Rhodes, aka War Machine, has a key role in the conflict with Ultron that is the main focus of the sequel.
USA Today also notes that Cheadle will reprise his Iron Man 3 role in the Avengers sequel. We still don't know if Jim Rhodes will suit up as War Machine or Iron Patriot to join Iron Man and The Avengers.
The other casting is British actor Simon McBurney (Showtime's ‘The Borgias‘) who the Bleeding Cool site claims is playing Jarvis in the new film. Now, not a computer voice Jarvis – that role still seems to belong to Paul Bettany – but possibly Tony Stark's butler called Jarvis or the inspiration for his computer counterpart.
All we know for sure is that Joss Whedon is directing this Marvel Phase Two spin-off from his own screenplay, with production scheduled to begin in March 2014.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits screens on May 1st, 2015 and star new actors Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and James Spader aboard alongside Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett Johannson.
