Though Sucker Punch and Sleeping Beauty have been a mixed bag for movie critics, they tanked at the box office. On the other hand, Red Riding Hood rather sunk at the box office. Having that in mind, the worst may now be behind for the wonderful Aussie actress
Emily Browning – she is in talks to star in
Catherine Hardwicke's psychological thriller
Plush.
All jokes aside, however, one of the more eclectic actresses around, Browning is now looking to star in Plush. A thriller set in Los Angeles is about ‘a psychic psychologist who reads patient memories in order to unleash past demons. Browning looked to join the film as a teenage patient with powers equal to her psychic doctor.'
That's description to
Variety‘s take. According to
ComingSoon the film is officially described as follows:
After losing her band mate and brother to a drug overdose, rising rock star Hayley finds herself in a downward spiral. The second album from her band Plush is received as a critical and commercial disaster. She finds new hope and friendship in Enzo, the replacement guitarist who inspires her to reach new creative heights. But soon their collaboration crosses the line sexually and Hayley, who is married with two children, retreats from Enzo's advances. As Hayley slowly discovers Enzo's dark and troubled history, she realizes she may have let a madman into her home and family and that her mistake may cost the lives of people closest to her.
Twilight and Red Riding Hood director Hardwicke co-wrote the drama with Artie Nelson. Here's another thing I am not certain about – whether or not Browning will be replacing previously attached
Evan Rachel Wood in the role or if her part is another character.
Browning recently replaced Ophelia Lovibond in director Christopher Menaul's period costume drama
Summer in February.
