Evil lives again… Yeah, but the right question is – how exactly? I'm kind of disappointed with this leaked trailer for The Evil Dead remake. Ok, shoot me or whatever, but for me it's like – oh, look, I have great team on board, great special (just joking, read: bloody) effects, pretty cool cast as well, and my movie still looks kind of…blah! But the good thing is that the crowd went all wooooow – so I guess we're still interested in the whole thing?
So, Sam Raimi‘s horror classic is getting a remake. Still can't believe, but there you go, you have the damn video so go ahead and check it out. A lot of screaming, some creepy scenes are also there, and, well, that's pretty much all you need these days to sell the movie.
Especially if you add that you have a blessing from Raimi and his leading star Bruce Campbell. Even better – they are also producing the whole thing!
In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore all star in Evil Dead, which comes from director Fede Alvarez and is set to open on April 5th, 2013.
