Well, this looks amazing. We finally have the first image from
Ang Lee‘s upcoming 3D adaptation of the novel
Life of Pi, and I'm sure you're going to agree with me – because amazing is the real word.
This time, we have a first look at a newcomer
Suraj Sharma and Bengal tiger named Richard Parker and I guess that a hyena, a zebra, and an orangutan from the description of this movie will come later…
So, as you already know, Life of Pi is an adaptation of
Yann Martel‘s book which follows a boy named Pi, the son of a zookeeper who has an encyclopedic knowledge of animal behavior and a fervent love of stories.
When Pi is sixteen, his family emigrates from India to North America aboard a Japanese cargo ship, along with their zoo animals bound for new homes. Pi soon finds himself alone in a lifeboat, his only companions a hyena, an orangutan, a wounded zebra, and Richard Parker, a 450-pound Bengal tiger…
Life of Pi also stars
Tobey Maguire, Irrfan Khan, Adil Hussain and
Gerard Depardieu, and Ang Lee's movie is set to open on November 21st, 2012.
