Here’s the very first teaser for yet another entry into the Beat Generation era, Kill Your Darlings, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg, Jack Huston as Jack Kerouac, Dane DeHaan as Lucien Carr and Ben Foster as William Burroughs.
After premiering in Sundance earlier this year, John Krokidas‘ beat poet period drama will be playing both the Toronto Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival’s independent Venice Days section.
The short preview offers a mature performance from Radcliffe who teams up with one of Hollywood’s most promising young actors, DeHaan in Krokidas’ feature directing debut.
The screenplay was co-written by Krokidas, a Yale and NYU film school graduate and Austin Bunn.
The film also stars Elizabeth Olsen as Edie Parker, Michael C. Hall as David Kammerer, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Naomi Ginsberg and Kyra Sedgwick as Marian Carr.
Acquired by Sony Pictures Classics, Kill Your Darlings has already set a October 18th, 2013 limited release.
