If you are a regular Bond fan, you'll be glad to hear that a fan favorite character, Q, the quartermaster of spy technology at MI6 and a sharp comic foil for Agent 007, is returning for 23rd Bond film
Skyfall.
Gadget inventor Q, last played by John Cleese in 2002′s Die Another Day, was absent in the
Daniel Crag films thus far.
Now we have our first glimpse at the Bright Star and I'm Not There thesp,
Ben Whishaw showing off some new tech, much younger and definitely geekier looking than the previous incarnations.
Bond producers
Michael G. Wilson and
Barbara Broccoli say:
It's a real thrill to confirm the return of Q in SKYFALL played by the enormously talented, Ben Whishaw. We are delighted to have this beloved character back in the series.
Sam Mendes-directed action adventure also stars
Javier Bardem, Dame Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace and
Tonia Sotiropoulou.
Whishaw has already joined Matrix filmmakers Andy and Lana Wachowski's big-screen adaptation of David Mitchell's 2004 novel Cloud Atlas.
Skyfall coming to theaters and IMAX on November 9th, 2012.
Daniel Craig is back as James Bond 007 in Skyfall, the 23rd adventure in the longest-running film franchise of all time.
