First Official Images from CARRIE Remake
A scan of the first two photos that appear in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly has landed online, unveiling Chloe Moretz as Carrie and Julianne Moore as her mom, Margaret White, in Screen Gems' Carrie thriller.
The image shows Moretz standing in an outdoor space while recreates the iconic scene where Carrie is showered with pig's blood during a prom night. On the other image Moore looks like a natural as Carrie's widowed Christian fundamentalist mother, Margaret White while goes for terror in a nightie.
Closer adapted from Stephen King's novel, Carrie follows a socially outcast teenage girl Carrie White, who is raised by a mentally unstable religious fanatic mother. As she reaches puberty, the young girl possesses a destructive telepathic power that she uses for lethal means to execute her classmates who bully her during a prom night.
The original version was released in 1976 with Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie starring as Carrie and Margaret and earned Oscar nominations for both stars. Kimberly Peirce‘s adaptation of Stephen King's book, meanwhile, is currently filming in Toronto.
The Carrie remake is scheduled for October 18th, 2013 release in the US.
