
The first trailer and poster for director
Yaron Zilberman's feature debut
A Late Quartet, which premieres at TIFF tonight, have been released.
The award-winning documentarian Zilberman's film stars
Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, Christopher Walken and
Mark Ivanir (Schindler's List).
The members of a world-renowned string quartet trying to stay together ‘as they mark their 25th anniversary in the face of illness, competing egos, and insuppressible lust.' The group is rocked by the diagnosis of Parkinson's of their first violinist (Walken).
The trailer gives the audience the feeling of watching a masterclass in acting from the leads. Furthermore, hearing Walken explains the various nuances and intricacies of classical music in a way that only he can is complete happiness.
A Late Quartet also stars
Imogen Poots and
Liraz Charhi and will hit limited theaters November 2nd, 2012.
