The plot follows three co-workers played by: Josh Peck (The Wackness), Alice Eve (She's Out of My League), and Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker) who stop off to pick up some cash from an ATM vestibule on the way home from a Christmas party.
From there, the rest of the story is set primarily in the ATM booth and never leaves the supermarket parking lot. Seems that they're trapped by a murderous psychopath wearing a winter parka, with no way of escape.
David Brooks is making his feature directorial debut for the suspense thriller ATM, with a script written by Chris Sparling, who also penned the gripping 2010 thriller Buried, starring Ryan Reynolds, trapped inside a coffin for the entire ninety-minute. Sparling seems to have a talent for being able to trap people inside the restricted space to monitor what happens to them if things are getting worse and worse.
ATM began screening for test audiences in April 2011, but will be released by IFC Midnight sometime later this year. IFC Midnight has also released the first trailer, so check it out.
