Here's a huge
Foosball (
Metegol) update: we have two new trailers, lovely new images and great posters to share with you! I'm sure you already know that we're talking about
Juan J. Campanella‘s latest 3D comedy (read: the most expensive Argentine film of all time!) which is set to open the upcoming
San Sebastian Film Festival, right? Good, now head inside to take another look at Amadeo & the company, and let us know what you think about the whole thing!

Written and directed by Campanella, and based on the story
Memoirs of a Right Winger by
Roberto Fontanarrosa, this animated feature film revolves around a young man whose childhood table football figures come alive to help him save his village and regain the love of his childhood sweetheart.

In other words, the film will tell us the story of Amadeo, a shy but talented boy, and of a foosball team that is trying to get back together after having been dismantled.
With the help of the foosball players, Amadeo will have to face his most terrible rival on the football pitch: the Champ. Guided by their leader, the charismatic Right Winger, the foosball players and Amadeo will set off on a great adventure together, like a true team, to get back the dignity that the Champ stole from them.

Described as the stage on which this story of love, respect, friendship and passion is played out,
Foosball is Campanella's first cinematographic project since he was awarded the Oscar for
The Secret in Their Eyes.

As we said, the film is the most expensive Argentine film of all time, and the most expensive Latin American animated feature ever. It was released in Argentina on July 18th, 2013, setting an
all-time record for an Argentine film opening at the box-office.

So, yes, this definitely looks promising,
hope you agree?
