Let's be honest, we're still talking about that
Freelancers movie just because
Robert De Niro stars in it. And, on the other hand, we're still trying to forget that
50 Cent is in the whole thing.
It's not an easy job, but somebody's got to do it. So, originally thought to be heading straight to DVD, the movie, will be getting a theatrical release after all – on August 10th and I'm here to share it with you today.
To serve, protect and steal… That's what this is all about. The movie centers on 50 Cent who stars as the son of a slain NYPD officer. He joins the force, where he falls in with his father's former partner and a team of rogue cops.
His new boss, Sarcone, (played by De Niro) will see if he has what it takes to be rogue through many trials and tribulations of loyalty, trust and respect. But, when the truth about his father's death is revealed, revenge takes over him, and he won't stop until justice has been truly served.
Directed by
Jessy Terrero, Freelancers also stars
Forest Whitaker, Dana Delany, Michael McGrady, Jeff Chase and
Matt Gerald, which is not exactly the bad cast for an action cop drama at all.
Still, I'm not so enthusiastic about this one, so I will just remind you that the whole thing opens on August 10th, 2012, and leave the crime scene.
