Full Trailer and New Photos for Steven Spielberg’s LINCOLN Biopic
The wait is finally ova! Just remember that Steven Spielberg‘s historical biopic Lincoln has been gestating for years, and Liam Neeson was set to play the president, but the two-time Oscar-winner Daniel Day-Lewis stepped in instead and less than two months from the film's release anything but a single official photo from the project had not yet been unveiled.
We posted the first teaser snippet for Spielberg's possible mojo comeback Lincoln earlier this week in anticipation of the full theatrical trailer being released during the Google + Q&A. Finally, and well worth the wait.
A revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President's tumultuous final months in office with splicing scenes of Civil War battles with Congressional debates, Lincoln has the well-balanced combination of action and drama with most of the screen time to go to the supporting actors.
The cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who participated in the hangout with Spielberg too), Sally Field, David Strathairn, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jackie Earle Haley, Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Bruce McGill, Adam Driver, Walton Goggins, Tim Blake Nelson, Hal Holbrook and David Oyelowo.
Lincoln will debut in limited theaters starting on November 9th, 2012, expanding wide on the 16th.
Check out the full trailer in the top window and Spielberg and Gordon Levvit's chinwagging in the bottom, along with eight new images.
