The first trailer for director Gary Fleder‘s new crime thriller Homefront has arrived, pitting Jason Statham against James Franco. Vet action star, director and producer Sylvester Stallone is only the screenwriter on the upcoming project.
Based on Chuck Logan's book, Homefront focuses on a former Drug Enforcement Administration agent (Statham) who retires to a small town for the sake of his 10-year-old daughter, and soon butts heads with the local crime leader(Franco).
The flick, which looks like a fairly typical actioner, co-stars Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, and Frank Grillo.
‘Homefront' will arrive in movie theaters on November 27th, 2013.
Looks a bit generic in my opinion, but here's to hoping I am wrong. See it for yourself.
