Here’s another look at Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean in the upcoming Les Miserables big screen adaptation, which comes from director Tom Hooper.
As you already know, the whole thing is scheduled to hit the theaters this December, and I’m sure we’re all enthusiastic about this project, especially because an awesome cast is on board.
So, thanks to Jackman and his Twitter account, we have much better look at Jean Valjean and a message that comes straight from actor and goes like this:
“Very excited about how the first days of filming are going!! Check out my convict look…but its changing soon.”
Well, until the next photo arrives, I will remind you that Hooper’s adaptation is based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel, and the hit Broadway musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg which opened in 1985. Set against the backdrop of the 19th Century French rebellion, the musical has been adapted for the screen by William Nicholson.
Beside Jackman, Les Miserables also stars Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks.
Les Miserables opens on December 25th, 2012.
