Get ready for another futuristic drama guys! Or, if you prefer – get ready for a completely new Fox’s high-concept pilot titled Human which comes from J.J. Abrams and J.H. Wyman!
So, we’re actually talking about an action-packed buddy-cop show set in the near future? Already sounds promising, but to be honest – probably the best thing is that Karl Urban is set to star as the lead!
At this moment we know Brad Anderson will direct Human from a script written by J.H. Wyman which is set in the near future, when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved humanlike androids.
Karl Urban comes on board to play a respected police officer named John Kennex, who has shut down emotionally after a tragic mission that claimed the lives of nine of his fellow elite officers and left him critically injured.
Beside Urban, this futuristic show will also star Michael Ealy as Urban’s android partner named Dorian, Lili Taylor as the police captain, Minka Kelly, Michael Irby and Mackenzie Crook.
Wyman will executive produce the Warner Bros. Television and Bad Robot Productions drama alongside Abrams and Bryan Burk, while Anderson will co-exec produce the pilot.
