Jones, Pearce and Ryan Attached to Star in Drake Doremus Follow-up
Amy Ryan and Guy Pearce along with Felicity Jones, who will be re-teaming with Drake Doremus for the second time, are all attached to star in Like Crazy helmer's next film.
As we learned a romance Like Crazy won the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize at Sundance this year as well as British thesp Jones won a Special Jury Award for her acting. By the way, you can see Like Crazy when it hit theaters on October 28th.
Drake Doremus wrote the script along with Ben York Jones who collaborates with him on new project.
While the plot of the Like Crazy follow-up has been kept under wraps, at one point the story centers on the nature of love and marriage. In fact, on a high school teacher (Pearce), who is tempted to cheat on his beautiful wife (Ryan) with one of his students (Jones). The creative element of music will be represented too, which fit in perfectly at Sundance.
Production of the as-yet untitled film begins this August.
Ryan, an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee for her performance in Gone Baby Gone was recently seen in Philip Seymour Hoffman's directorial debut, Jack Goes Boating, taking over the role of Connie.
Pearce has appeared as playboy David, the Prince of Wales in the award-winning film The King's Speech and will be next seen in an upcoming horror Don't be Afraid of Dark, playing Alex Hirst.
Besides her role in Like Crazy young English actress Jones also starred in Cemetery Junction, a coming-of-age comedy-drama, scribed and helmed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
