Judi Dench and Michelle Monaghan Join Better Living Through Chemistry
More casting news for today! Judi Dench and Michelle Monaghan will join previously announced Jeremy Renner and Jennifer Garner in the indie thriller Better Living Through Chemistry.
The script from David Posamentier and Geoff Moore was on last year's Hollywood Black List of best unmade scripts but now, ‘Chemistry' is Posamentier and Moore's first produced script.
The $8 million project is produced through Occupant Films' Felipe Marino, Joe Neurauter and Keith Calder (The Wackness, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane).
At this moment now not much is known about the whole thing except that:
“…the noirish thriller is about a pharmacist (Renner) who begins a prescription drug-fueled affair with a trophy wife (Garner) that leads to the two plotting to kill her husband.”
The movie is described as a character-driven dramedy centering on a meek small-town pharmacist, stuck in a loveless marriage, who rediscovers himself through an affair with a trophy wife who introduces him to the wonderful world of prescription drugs. When they begin to plot her husband's murder, everything begins to fall apart.
There's no word on what roles will be slotted by Dench and Monaghan.
Better Living Through Chemistry is aiming for an August start in Washington or Georgia.
As usual, we'll keep an eye on the project, so stay tuned!
