The first official trailer for Jerusha Hess‘ upcoming romcom-drama Austenland has finally made its way online and it has an added dose of humor, thanks to Jennifer Coolidge.
Starring Keri Russell as a modern-day American woman in her 30s who’d rather live in Jane Austen’s world to the point where she takes a trip to a British resort, the titular Austenland that recreates the atmosphere of the novels.
Penned by Jershua Hess and Shannon Hale, Austenland is based on Hale’s original novel about Jane Hayes whose fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become realer than she ever could have imagined.
Produced by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and co-starring Bret McKenzie as the male love interest along with Jane Seymour, Rupert Vansittart and James Callis, the movie opens in limited release on August 16th, 2013.
