House of Cards – familiar with that one? Well, add David Fincher, Netflix, Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright to the list, and there you go – you have a new pilot with some great cast on board!
Today we’re here to have a little chat about this political thriller and to share the first image from the whole thing. Make sure you check it out…
So, Fincher is on board to direct the hour-long drama project which is actually based on the book and British miniseries of the same name.
He directs from a script written by Beau Willimon who will also serve as an executive producer. And while we’re still here at the producing-part, let us also mention that Fincher is also executive producing the series along with Eric Roth, Josh Donen and Spacey’s Trigger Street Productions partner Dana Brunetti.
That’s what we call a surprisingly good team behind one pilot…
As you already see from this image, House of Cards stars Spacey as a wily, murderous politician worming his way to the White House (in one word – he’s a ruthless guy), while Wright is on board to play his “ambitious” wife.
One thing is for sure – they both look quite ambitious to me on this photo. Especially when it comes to photoshop…
House of Cards will debut on Netflix next year.
